Why Prawaas?

Uniting Bharat: From 30 Crore to 100 Crore Connections
Transport is more than movement. It is a catalyst for opportunity. Efficient mobility enables access to education, health, employment, pilgrimage, tourism; it empowers women, bridges rural-urban divides and fuels livelihoods. India’s vast population and diverse geographies demand a transport ecosystem that does more than moving people, it must connect lives. Today, nearly 30 crore Indians depend on public and shared transport operated by close to 40,000 bus operators, forming the backbone of everyday mobility. As the nation moves toward its 2047 vision, the challenge is clear: can this network scale to serve 100 crore citizens?

The Backbone of Bharat’s Mobility
Buses power India’s everyday life, quietly, reliably, and at scale. From morning commutes to long-distance journeys, they remain the most inclusive and essential mode of transport in the country.

Prawaas 5.0 aims to spark this critical dialogue, bringing stakeholders together to expand services, modernise infrastructure, and enable inclusive access through a truly multimodal approach integrating buses, metro, taxis, and last-mile solutions. The Event aligns government, operators, startups, technology providers, financiers, and civil society to propel Desh Ki Raftar and build a mobility ecosystem that is efficient, inclusive, climate-conscious, and future-ready.

Be a part of the fifth edition of Prawaas, India’s flagship multimodal transport show, which will be held from 9–11 July 2026 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre (HEC), Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
